Jewellery Care Guide
Caring for your jewellery ensures it remains beautiful for years to come. Each material has its own character and deserves a little special attention.
IMPORTANT - It is always advisable to remove all jewellery before swimming, showering or using cleaning products to preserve its finish and longevity.
Sterling Silver
- Store silver in a dry, airtight pouch or box to reduce tarnish.
- Polish gently with a soft silver cloth to restore its shine.
- Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and household cleaners.
Solid Gold
- Clean with warm water, a mild soap, and a soft brush.
- Dry thoroughly and buff with a lint-free cloth.
- Keep separate from other pieces to prevent scratches.
Precious & Semi-Precious Gemstones
- Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wear to remove oils and dust.
- Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, direct sunlight, and sudden temperature changes.
- Store individually to prevent scratching or chipping.
Lab & Mined Diamonds
- Diamonds may be strong, but they can still scratch other jewellery—store separately.
- Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush to keep brilliance.
- Regular professional checks are recommended to ensure settings remain secure.
Pearls
- Pearls are delicate and thrive when worn but should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.
- Avoid perfumes, hairspray, and cosmetics coming into contact with them.
- Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wear and store in a fabric pouch, never airtight.
