Personalisation
Rebecca McDermott Jewellery
At Rebecca McDermott Jewellery, each piece can be uniquely personalised through the art of hand stamping. Popular inscriptions include names, initials, dates, geographic coordinates, and meaningful words or phrases—drawn from the people, places, and moments that move us most.
Hand stamping is an ancient technique, where each letter and number is individually forged into the metal. This traditional method has been used for centuries and its charmingly rustic texture enhances the intimate, personalised feel of every piece. It is a beautiful way to convey a message of love or remembrance, creating a truly one-of-a-kind keepsake.
Please note that hand stamping is not machine engraved. Slight variations in alignment and depth are a natural part of the process, adding to the character, individuality, and authenticity of each piece. These subtle imperfections should be considered part of the charm, not a flaw.
Punctuation and Character Guidelines
Hand stamping can only be executed in the Roman alphabet, in upper-case letters. Available punctuation marks are limited to the ampersand (&), full stop (.), and comma (,). Numbers may also be included, but other punctuation, accent marks, or mathematical symbols cannot be accommodated.
