Spend a full day with me at the jeweller’s bench in my County Louth workshop, learning the fundamental skills and techniques used to create jewellery by hand.

This is an intensive but relaxed one-to-one experience, designed to give you a real introduction to traditional silversmithing using professional jeweller’s tools and equipment.

Over the course of the day, I’ll guide you through the essential skills including saw piercing, shaping metal, soldering, filing, sanding, texturing, cleaning and polishing. You’ll learn how to use the tools safely and confidently, understand how metal behaves and begin developing the practical skills that form the foundation of jewellery making.

Because the day is completely one-to-one, we can work at your pace, spend extra time on the areas you find most interesting and tailor the experience around what you would most like to learn.

Whether you have always wanted to try silversmithing, are considering jewellery making as a hobby or would simply love to spend a day immersed in something creative, this is an opportunity to experience life at a working jeweller’s bench.

You’ll also create a piece of sterling silver jewellery during the day to take home with you.

If you would like to continue learning afterwards, further one-to-one sessions can be tailored around the direction you would like to take your jewellery making.
